God’s Simple Plan of Salvation

The Need

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23
Every person has sinned, or broken God’s law, and God’s Word has made the consequences clear.
“The wages of sin is death;” Romans 6:23a

The Gift

God has paid the price for our sin through the gift of His Son Jesus Christ.
“but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b
He died on the cross to pay for our sins even though we were the ones who deserved to die.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4

Accepting God’s Free Gift

Faith in Jesus - nothing more and nothing less - will save you.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.” Acts 16:31
